Only one king
After watching The King from Director David Michôd, I was enthralled in this piece of work of cinematography, acting, music, and storytelling. It reminded me of how men desire being a top dog, in complete control with power, always lusting for more. Without realizing it, we can be thrusted into this path by the title others bestow on us. Growing up I only knew of one King, and he didn’t have a kingdom, or big castle, nor robes made of gold or the finest garments. He was a man who didn’t even have his own home as an man, and yet, he served. He gave himself to others, spoke in parables to evoke thought. Fed many, healed many, walked amongst the tax collectors and prostitutes and loved everyone. I do believe he was a real man on this earth, and he became my teacher of life when I had none. No matter how many people claim to be King I only refer to one as such. His name is Yeshua.
